Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston

• Expand/Repair ICU, Step-Down and Pulmonary Unit (17,800 SF). CSG built a new 7,600 SF Critical Care Medical Service area on top of an existing one-story building, renovated the existing 10,400 SF ICU, and joined them into one unit. The existing units stayed in service through phased construction.
• Correct Legionella Issues (52,300 SF). Demolition, civil site preparation and a new three-story Legionella building, with work throughout the medical center to bring it into compliance.
• Overhaul/Replace Elevators. CSG replaced and modernized seven existing traction and hydraulic elevators, phased so hospital patient care was not degraded.
• Renovate Electrical and Telecom Closets (96,300 SF). Infrastructure for 16 new IT closets, completed without disrupting hospital staff, patients or operations.

MUSC Chest Pain Center Expansion and Renovation, 25 Courtenay Drive, Charleston (8,000 SF)

A multi-phase renovation and expansion inside a fully functioning chest pain center in an occupied hospital. Scope included new floors, ceilings, fire alarm and sprinkler work, medical gas systems, and expansion of the pneumatic tube system.

Roper Hospital, 316 Calhoun Street, Charleston

• Emergency Power Infrastructure Upgrades (13,450 SF), a FEMA grant project. A three-level structural steel building addition on an auger-cast pile foundation, housing new permanent 2,000 kVA generators.
• Rooftop Chiller Retrofit (16,400 SF), FEMA grant. A 1,000-ton chiller, a cooling tower and the associated piping and controls, installed while the hospital stayed fully operational.
• Roper St. Francis Gift Shop. A total interior renovation.

Retail up-fits in Charleston and West Ashley

• SEE Eyewear, King Street, Downtown Charleston (1,500 SF). A total interior demolition and rebuild that preserved historic features, including the interior roof framing and the storefront.
• Baskin Robbins, West Ashley (1,200 SF). A total interior renovation, including new dining, serving, drive-through and cake-prep areas.

Joint Base Charleston Fire Station B90, Goose Creek (1,716 SF)

An addition and renovation of Building 90, including a new sleeping area, new fire alarm and sprinkler systems, mechanical and electrical upgrades, a new TPO roof and a new emergency generator.

Town of Moncks Corner

• Foxbank Fire Station #02 (5,753 SF), the project that began CSG’s relationship with the Town.
• Public Service Building (10,000 SF). CSG served as Construction Manager at Risk and designed and erected two pre-engineered metal buildings.
• Miracle League Field (20,000 SF). CSG was the prime contractor and a donor to the Miracle League.
